Het is zover: 'Neither From Nor Towards...' wordt op 3 november 2009 aan pers en publiek voorgesteld!

We proudly present our new CD 'Neither From Nor Towards...' to press and audience on November 3 2009!

De CD bevat uitgelezen werk van tal van Amerikaanse componisten die meermaals met Thelema Trio samenwerkten. Verder prijkt er een prachtig solowerk van onze klarinettist Marco Antonio Mazzini op het schijfje. De volledige tracklist kan u reeds bekijken op onze website www.thelematrio.com
De plaat werd ook uitgebracht op het Amerikaanse label Innova Recordings.

This CD contains exclusive works by a number of American composers who have worked with Thelema Trio in the past few years .
Beside this there's a wonderful piece by our clarinettist Marco Antonio Mazzini on the disc

Thelema Trio - Maene Brussels

On May 2nd 2009, Thelema Trio will play a recent work by Sebastian Bradt,
the hit 'Clarmageddon' by Peter Verdonck,
a hypnotizing composition by Juan Maria Solare and five short but powerful miniatures by Fernando Benadon.

Peter Verdonck ~ Saxonly Festival

From 15 till 18 April Peter has given concerts, workshops and organistary contribution to the first edition of the prestigious SaxOnly festival in DeSingel in Antwerp, Belgium.
There he worked together with the Belgian composer Stefan Prins and teacher of saxophone of the Antwerp Conservatory and international soliost Hans de Jong.

Ward De Vleeschhouwer - 'HrdScr Editions'

Ward's composition 'Zebra Crossing' is published with HrdScr Editions. 'Zebra Crossing' has four short piano compositions:

HRDSCR EDITIONS wants to profile itself as a music publishing company specialised in carefully edited and affordable publications of work by contemporary composers.
The publishing company will especially focus on solo work and chamber music. One of the objectives of HARDSCR EDITIONS is to spread these publications through music academies and specialised music stores in Belgium as well as abroad.

Peter Verdonck - Desperate for Sax

In April 2009 you can see saxophonist Peter Verdonck in a number of concerts and workshops at the SaxOnly festival in Antwerp. On the first edition of this prestigious festival he'll play the baritone and bass sax in a.o. the new sextet Desperate for Sax with Hans de Jong.

Thelema Trio - USA tour 2008

Thelema Trio will tour in March - April 2008 in several North-American states, preceded by the recording of our second full-CD in Warrensburg, Missouri. This CD features a programme with pieces from the complete continent, from Canada to Argentina. Details

 

Ward De Vleeschhouwer - "Poetic Fireworks"

In a cooperation with eight other composers, Ward has written a soundscape for the fireworks of the "Ghent Festival", Belgium.
Fabien Audooren (artistic leader of the international streettheaterfestival): "The result is really amazing. The soundscore is rich of diversity, challenge but especially original and fresh of concept.
The firemakers of Ephémère promise to take care of the necessary bangs".
